Got a call about half an hour ago that was exactly the same scam. I ended up hanging up halfway and then called my bank to make sure everything was fine. Definitely a SCAM!

No idea who was calling. The phone would ring, then hang up whenever I picked up. They were the ones making the call, but it just felt like such a pointless waste of time.

Got a call from someone saying they were Visa Secure, telling me there was a £600 purchase made on my card and to press 1 if it wasn’t me. Turned out to be an automated message and pretty obviously a scam. Honestly, I can think of a couple elderly neighbours who’d probably press that button without a second thought.
