Like quite a few folks have said, this was a total scam. I got a robotic lady voice, sounded American, saying my BT internet was about to be disconnected today. I only caught the first button they told me to press before hanging up. I’m guessing pressing anything might’ve cost me money or worse? I’ve probably blocked the number now. Heard this sort of thing is gonna spike on “Black Friday” according to some stuff I’ve seen. Watch out, everyone.

Got a robocall saying BT’s gonna disconnect my internet and to press 1 for tech help. So I hit 1, said thanks, and hung up. I’ve had these calls loads and usually just tell them to find a proper job - that’s the polite way of putting it!

They've rung me like five times in a day saying they're from BT and that my internet'll get cut off or something. It's really annoying, I don't know why they can't find a better way to spend their time. I feel sorry for older folks who might not be so tech-savvy; they could easily get confused, press the wrong buttons, and then end up stressed about the whole thing.
