Got four calls from a number I didn’t recognise, looking like a scam to me.

I never picked up but they rang me like four times in just a couple of minutes. I usually don’t bother with numbers I don’t know showing up on my screen.

The calls I've been receiving have a distinctly Indian or Pakistani accent and purport to be from Talktalk, discussing alleged internet issues. It became quite a regular nuisance for several weeks, with them ringing me around three times weekly! Some of these callers can get rather aggressive when confronted about their deceitful tactics.

Got a call from a guy with an asian accent claiming to be from talktalk, said my server was acting up. I just played along but when he started asking me to press random keys on the keyboard, I asked if he wanted my bank info next. After that, I just told him to bugger off in a kinda quick, snappy way.

I've been getting calls from this number linked to that pesky nuisance caller who rings me from 01391733928 and even withholds their number sometimes. They claim to be from BT, but I'm not even a BT customer! I've picked up the phone a couple of times now and told them to stop pestering me, yet they just keep bombarding my landline... today alone, they've rung about six times in just one afternoon. It's becoming rather tiresome!

The first caller I encountered today was a young lady who mentioned something about claiming back PPI mis-sold by local banks. The issue is, I’ve never had PPI with any bank, so I promptly hung up the phone. Then, the second caller rang from the same number and claimed to be representing BT. He mentioned that there had been ongoing bothersome calls, which were supposedly meant to cease on April 1st. He asserted it was quite a significant issue in my area. As he knew I pay BT via Direct Debit, he kept pressuring me for my Credit Card details to verify my identity. In the end, I decided it was best to end the conversation rather abruptly.

was on a ladder putting up wallpaper when the phone rang. they claimed to be from talk talk, but ive just cancelled my contract with them. when i was a customer i kept getting these scam calls non-stop, then it stopped for a while. now that i’ve left, the scam calls have come flooding back like crazy. makes me wonder if my info got passed around somewhere. soon i’ll have no choice but to tell them off with plenty of strong language. it’s honestly so annoying. why dont these people get a legit job instead of this rubbish?

I got a call from this number twice today, once earlier and then again just a few minutes ago. Didn't know who it was, so I didn't pick up. They also left no voicemail either time.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, who claimed there was a problem with my internet. When I asked where she was calling from, she said the UK, but the number made it obvious she wasn’t really local. I just told her to shove off and hung up straight away.
