Phone number ☎️ 0017163421128 👆 is reported as a persistent and convincing scam involving unsolicited calls from foreign voices, often American or Asian accents, claiming knowledge of the recipient’s historic or unknown shareholdings. Callers impersonate financial firms or brokers, proposing premium buyouts or hostile takeovers of shares in companies like BT, Vodafone, Lloyds, or airlines. They frequently demand upfront payments or bonds for insurance indemnities, then abruptly hang up or become aggressive when questioned. Had pretty much the same thing happen as others here. Got a call about shares linked to my late wife, who passed away over 20 years ago. The woman on the phone kept saying 'non-disclosure agreement' over and over, probably at least six times. What really creeps me out is that she had both my phone number and address. I've already reported it to the SERS (Suspicious Email Reporting Service) via [email protected].

Had a very similar run-in as others here. Got a call about some shares supposedly tied to my late wife, who passed away over 20 years ago. The woman on the phone kept going on about a 'non-disclosure agreement' - she said it at least half a dozen times. What really creeped me out was that she already had my home address and landline number. I've passed the details over to SERS (Suspicious Email Reporting Service) at [email protected].

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, she was asking for my wife by her name. When I asked what it was about, she said something to do with shares. I had a feeling it was dodgy, so I played along for a bit before telling her I thought it sounded like a scam and then ended the call.

Totally a scam trying to push some fake deal! Don’t fall for it.

Had a pretty similar experience to others here. Got calls coming from the US, telling me I owned shares I didn’t even know about. There was talk of some non-disclosure agreement and how my shares had grown massively because of a rights issue - apparently they’d multiplied by ten. Now they’re supposed to be worth anywhere between £7 to £15 each. But before any of that could go ahead, they said I needed to sign a bond with some “legitimate” UK insurance firm and put down a payment upfront. Honestly, don’t get involved with these lot, it’s a trap!

Got a call from someone who seemed to know stuff about an old shares investment we made, which honestly set off alarm bells because they had our names and all. They didn't try to get any bank info, which was kinda convincing, but then they sent over a non-disclosure form about the shares by email - I just deleted it straight away. After reading other people’s experiences, I’m pretty sure it’s a scam, and I’d definitely back that up.

Got a call from someone named Rachel Walker, seemed like she was fishing for people who might be vulnerable, maybe using funeral notices or something similar. Then she started pushing some kind of share sale scheme. Just a heads up to everyone - if you get a call from 0017163421128, best thing to do is just hang up straight away.

Got a call from someone who already knew my name and that I owned Vodafone shares. She was going on about a client of hers trying to takeover Vodafone and ready to offer more than the market price for my shares. I told her it seemed odd that she’d be ringing me up, since I’m just a small shareholder. She tried to say her client had snapped up the big investors' shares and now needed to get the smaller ones. When I asked why this takeover wasn't in the news and why the share price hadn't gone up, she just ended the call.

Somebody called me trying to get me to offload shares in Heathrow airport for a supposedly good price. Thing is, I don’t actually have any of those shares. I only told them my name, which I think the lady already had. I just let her carry on talking to figure out what the whole thing was about. No way would I sell shares like that - only through proper, official ways.

Got a call from this lady called Rachel, saying she wanted to talk about buying BT shares for some client. I do own BT shares, but from the start it sounded dodgy. She had my name and address down, which was a bit creepy. I asked who her client was, but she said she couldn’t say right now. Then she threw out some figure between 6 and 12 quid per share - yeah, right. I told her, since she already had my details, to send me the offer in writing. She just said she’d make a note and then hung up. Proper sketchy.

I got a call from Kathryn Davies and Jade Miller, claiming to be from Silveredge Consulting. They told me they were planning a hostile takeover of Iberdrola SA and wanted to purchase my shares at a higher price. Their pitch was that I needed to put down around 10 to 15% of the supposed value into some kind of “indemnity account” to lock in the deal.
