Got a call from this number at like 1am, totally woke me up!

Got a recorded message in the middle of the night, like 00:43, which was super irritating. The call said something about a security number being 9526.

On January 20 and then again on the 27th, this 001714707335 called my French mobile. I don’t usually pick up numbers I don’t know, especially if they don’t leave a clear message. All I got on my voicemail was something like “number + Inumber” (which matches my area code) and then a quick “aurevoir” in French. Bit weird, really.

Just as i was about to reply, the AI stuff started up and cut me off.

Got a call claiming to be from BT, saying my bank was compromised. They wanted my banking info, which is a massive red flag. Don’t give them anything, they’ll clean out your accounts for sure. Stay clear!

I got a voicemail from someone saying they were from BT saying my internet would be disconnected, even though I dont even use BT for internet. They told me to press 1 or 2 to either stop the service or speak to a technician. Im sure both options would just end up charging loads of money to talk to a scammer pretending to be from BT, probably to steal your bank or card info. Best to just ignore and steer clear of it entirely.
