The moment I pick up, they just cut me off and hang up. Strange behaviour!

there’s a few ways i handle these idiots, like telling them i’m on a mac, or asking for the ip address of their pc, or just saying i don’t actually have a pc at all. used to get some laughs messing with them, but now it’s just dull and not worth the time.

Got a call from some bloke named Steve Smith, sounded like he had an Indian accent, saying he was from the Windows technical support. I told him straight away that Windows don't ring up like that. He then said it was Microsoft that makes those calls, not Windows. I acted like I was interested just to see where it was going. Eventually he gave me a 30-digit code to enter into my computer to ‘verify’ the licence number. That was all I needed, so I just ended the call there.

Oh, the so-called windows tech support! Sure thing!! Some woman with an Asian accent just cut the call as soon as I said she wasn’t from Microsoft. Honestly, this scam is getting pretty tired, bet hardly anyone buys it nowadays.
