Just got a call from someone claiming to be ‘Windows’ support, telling me my computer had loads of errors and I needed to switch it on. I told them my system was ancient anyway, probably gave them too many details. Seriously, when are these scammers going to get caught and face legal action? Does anyone even bother chasing these fraudsters?

They keep ringing me and then as soon as I pick up, this creepy female robot voice just says goodbye and ends the call. I reckon it's probs one of those scam call centres. I’ve noticed sometimes they make loads of calls at the same time and only take the first person who picks up, leaving the others waiting. After a short while, the call just ends with the robo goodbye again. I’ve just blocked the number now so I’m done with it.

Got a call from 'interest' or something, they kept talking about some safety stuff for your safer? Sounded a bit dodgy to me, couldn’t really make sense of it. Definitely didn’t want to get involved or hand anything over.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. I humoured him for a bit, but then told him I don’t own a computer. He lost it and shouted some rude words before hanging up.

On 29th May 2018, I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent using this number. He said he’d noticed some error messages linked to my Microsoft account and claimed to have my licence number, which he actually got right. He wanted to get his tech team to remotely fix the issue on my computer. I asked him how I could be sure it wasn’t some scam. He said he was from Microsoft and that the licence number he had proved it was legitimate. I told him I wouldn’t allow access until I confirmed it was proper and asked for a contact number to ring back. He gave me 4197986765 to call.

Got a call this morning at about 9:38 from a guy with an Indian accent, saying my Microsoft account had a problem. Total con artist, probably just another Pakistani scammer trying it on.

Today round about 10:20am, I received a call from 0017026176469. The guy on the line had an Indian accent and claimed to be from BT Broadband. He said my computer had been hacked. When I said I don’t even use BT broadband, he just brushed it off and said that didn't really matter as they supposedly manage the whole system. Then he tried to get me to sit at my computer so he could guide me through "blocking" the hacker. I ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone named "Mina" claiming to be from a Microsoft helpdesk. She said my computer was showing error messages and if I didn’t do something, it would just shut down. Seemed fishy to me, so I just hung up straight away. Pretty sure it's a scam.

Had this muppet from Pakistan trying the old Windows scam on me. Got a real laugh out of it, kept him going for a good 20 minutes just messing about. What a waste of time!

This number rang me but I ended up not picking up cos I’ve had loads of dodgy calls lately and thought it was just another scam. I looked it up and yep, it matched the number I saw. When I went to block it on my BT blacklist, turns out it was already on there! Seems like these scammers have ways to get past blacklists, which is really annoying.
