8 yearsGot a call today with some automated lady speaking in an American accent saying my internet would be cut off today. She said to "press 1 to cancel internet" then "press 2" or something, but I just hung up and didn’t bother listening any further.8 yearsGot a call from 00168587768, and it was one of those automated messages by a woman pretending to be from BT's tech support. She said my internet would be disconnected today and told me to press 1 if I wanted to talk to BT. I didn’t press anything and just hung up straight away. It looks like a scam, so watch out - pressing 1 might get you stuck with a costly phone bill. I’ve read stories of people being charged over £150 thinking they were speaking to real BT staff. Has anyone else had trouble with this number? Cheers, Charles.BTCharles8 yearsMy call blocker didn’t stop this one, must’ve been one of those auto-dialler things. They obviously can’t be bothered to follow instructions properly so they just hang up. Honestly, glad it didn’t get through though.8 yearsI’d say the best move is to simply put the phone down.Submit Your Own Report (685877681)
