I got a call from a number and it turned out to be Alexa trying to help me call my own phone - totally freaked me out at first but then I figured it out. xx

This number called me and it was seriously odd. I don’t know anyone in America or New York, so I just let it ring out. Then something creepy happened - my Alexa suddenly started playing an automated answering machine message. When I asked Alexa to ring me back, it said “I can’t do that, I’m in a call.” Later I heard a voicemail of myself chatting with my daughter and telling Alexa things! Not threatening or spammy or anything, but if you had no clue it was Alexa making the call, that’d freak you out for sure. Bit of a relief once I figured it out!
