Today I got a call about some takeover deal for IAG shares. I told her straight that the takeover wasn’t happening and called her out as a scammer. She just hung up after that.

I got a call from someone claiming they worked for a firm dealing with a takeover offer for Sainsburys. She asked if I had any shares and said they wanted to buy them off me.

Got a call about buying shares in some new business they said was linked to my late husband, who passed away about four years ago. They claimed it would be good for me and promised to send more info by email, but I never shared my address with them. It sounded dodgy and like one of those “too good to be true” deals, so I just said no. The number was coming from the US, by the way.
