Just had a couple of dodgy numbers to flag up: 001441818396946 and 00144209010801. Both are clearly BT scams that I've already reported to BT and also to Action Fraud. They claim that their security systems have detected hackers and con artists exploiting your internet connection to breach your computer. They’re pushing to install TEAM VIEWER and are pestering about Google Play gift cards, plus they keep bringing up credit card and bank queries. Stay vigilant, folks!

I got a call from this number earlier today. I picked up, but there was just silence on the other end before they abruptly ended the call. I’ve been inundated with similar nuisance calls lately.

Reached out at 10 in the morning but no one spoke when I picked up. Tried once more at 11 and caught the answerphone, but they hung up right before it kicked in. Seems dodgy, probably some kind of scam. So frustrating!

My 91-year-old grandmother has been receiving continuous calls from this number. She is meant to be registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet the calls persist. Whenever we pick up, there's utter silence on the line before they abruptly disconnect. It's quite puzzling!

This number kept popping up the last few days, but since I didn’t recognise it, I ignored the calls figuring it was some kind of scam. I looked it up and saw it’s from the US and yep, definitely a scam. What’s the use of being on the TPS list when these scammers still bother calling anyway!

I've noticed this number ringing my phone repeatedly for the last few weeks, at all sorts of odd hours - be it early doors, around midday, late afternoon, or even in the evenings. It makes one wonder if they might be specifically trying to reach out to the elderly. If that’s the case, how on earth did they obtain such sensitive information? I've taken to telling them to clear off. I'm already signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, after all!

Got a call where a person with a typical Indian accent just said, "Hello" and then ended it. You can hear loads of chatter in the background which definitely sounds like a call centre. Classic scam attempt, I reckon.

Sounds like these people are up to no good. They try to trick you into giving them control of your computer, but only if you let them in. I just told this bloke, called John but he had an accent that didn’t sound quite right, that I don’t own any computer or smartphone. After that he just said thanks and ended the call. Fingers crossed they’ll stop calling me now!

Today, on the 16th of November 2017, I received a call on my freshly installed XD BT landline. I chose not to pick up, and they left no voicemail. When I tried to return the call, it came back as 'unobtainable'. After a bit of digging, I discovered it's a fraudulent operation from the Philippines! Seriously, steer clear of this number! If you happen to answer, I’d recommend giving a referee's whistle a good blow right into the receiver! It's puzzling how these scammers managed to get my new BT XD number so swiftly! Could it be through EE? Just to add, I’m in the MT Shropshire area.

Usually if you stay silent, the call will hang up on its own after around 5 seconds. Tons of international calls seem to work by voice activation, so just keep quiet and it should end quickly.
