Got a call from Victor at mtefm.com saying lovely things and asking to interview me. Seemed a bit fishy to me! Since then, I’ve had three more calls today all about the same thing. I gave their podcast interviews a listen and honestly, they’re pretty rubbish; the person asking the questions sounds like they couldn’t care less. If it sounds too amazing, it probably isn’t. Honestly, best to avoid and save yourself the bother.

Just got a ring from someone named Wain Grant offering a quick 5-minute podcast, saying it’d be free for the first year. Then they wanted me to chat with some other person to set up a time. The weird thing is, they clearly had no idea who I was or anything about my podcast style, so how could they say their podcasts are actually worth it? Sounds dodgy to me, probably a scam!

Got a call from someone saying they were doing a radio programme and needed an astrologer for a chat. I said no thanks pretty nicely, and the bloke sounded a bit let down. He didn’t even try to push me after that because I just said “Alright, cheers, take care” and ended the call. It struck me as odd they’d be after an astrologer from the UK when there must be loads in the States. Honestly, it gave me a bit of a dodgy vibe, like it could be some kind of scam.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from NYC saying they wanted to arrange a podcast interview. When I asked them to email the details, they said they prefer to handle the booking through a phone call and would ring me back.

Honestly, these radio stations seem like they haven't a clue what they're up to.

Some bloke rang me claiming he was from a radio station, asking about wedding planners for an interview. He kept chatting for ages and got a bit annoyed when I said I needed to hang up. Proper odd call!

Today I got a phone call about taking part in a podcast on mental health for a US radio station. Since I co-own a private therapy practice, I told them I’d have to check with my partner first and asked them to email me all the details. But as soon as I mentioned wanting an email, the caller quickly cut the call short. I’m not sure what to make of these sorts of calls, so I’ve labelled it Neutral. Just a word of advice - it’s best to stay curious but cautious with unexpected calls like this.

I didnt answer the call and no voicemail was left. Kind of like what someone else said, I work quietly as a counsellor.

Got a call from this number earlier, they said they were from some Radio or Podcast and that they'd come across my website. They tried to set up another call to ask me some questions, saying it could get me on the show. When I asked if they could send me details by email first, they just ended the call. Bit odd if you ask me.

So, this bloke rings me up, says he’s Jason from some radio show and podcast, asking if I fancy doing an interview. He reckoned they found me while looking into therapists and mental health stuff. Thing is, I’m a therapist but not really famous or anything, never put out anything public, so it just strikes me as pretty bizarre. Not bothered really, just found it a bit funny and weirdly random.

Got a call claiming to be from a radio station, but wasn’t really sure. Sounded a bit dodgy to me. They kept trying to get info, so I just hung up. Sounds like one of those sketchy phone scams to watch out for.
