Had two calls from this number yesterday but just hung up immediately. Now blocked for good.

Just got the first dodgy call of the year - some recorded message in an American accent talking about BT internet. I hung up before I heard the whole thing and blocked the number straight away. Had a couple of calls like this last year too (which I also blocked), so I’m guessing they keep changing their numbers. They just want you to press a button so they can ring you back on a premium rate line, I reckon. No way am I falling for that again.

this number has called me quite a few times. once i got a live person claiming my bt broadband security was at risk. other times, it was just automated messages warning that my broadband would be cut off the next day.

This number rang me like four times today, but every time I picked up, it just went dead. I’m pretty sure it’s one of those scam things trying to get you to call them back so they can charge you loads. We never ring back, obviously, but it still gets really annoying. Someone, like the phone company or the government, really needs to put a stop to this rubbish.

Today i received 4 calls. Left them a message on my ansaphone saying i only pick up if i know the number but they never left any messages. Still they keep ringing me nonstop.

I went ahead and pressed 1, which put me through to someone who sounded like Miss India. She seemed pretty clued up, but she hung up quickly after realising I was just messing about and had no intention of helping.

Today, I've had four calls from this exact number, the first three showed up as 01618587002. Since I never pick up numbers I don't know, I blocked it as nuisance. Then, I got another call, but it came through as 001618587002, so I blocked that one too. I'm pretty sure these folks are able to fake or generate phone numbers easily. Even though the last one looked like it was coming from the US, I really doubt that's true - probably just the same lot trying to bypass the block. This sort of cold calling really needs to be shut down.

Got a robotic call today saying it was BT warning me that my internet service was gonna be cut off today. This is the third time that call came through. The sound was pretty bad, especially towards the end, I couldn't make out the last bits so I just ended the call. Honestly, I wouldn’t have followed any instructions from it anyway. I rang BT myself to check if it was legit and they told me it was a scam. The person I spoke to said loads of others had been getting the same calls about their internet being disconnected.

Well, lucky me, I get one of those calls again! Some American-sounding recorded message about a supposed BT broadband problem. I didn’t even wait to hear more, just ended the call and blocked the number immediately. It’s a US number, so definitely dodgy in my book.

Apparently this number’s been calling a lot lately. I’ve already gotten four calls from it today, but luckily my BT phone just blocks them straight away. BT does let the caller leave their name if they want, but these ones hang up before saying anything.

This morning I got three calls, which is quite frustrating. My husband struggles with dementia and is quite vulnerable. I've blocked about 30 numbers beginning with 001, but the calls keep coming, usually early in the morning. It's really annoying how persistent they are despite the blocks.

Got a call supposedly from BT but the number's actually from the US? The voice was robotic and kept saying I was going to be cut off, telling me to press 1 or 2 to fix it. Feels like a scam to make you rack up expensive fees, don't fall for it!
