Got a call around half ten in the morning, left a voicemail saying HMRC were taking legal steps against me and to press 1 to talk to a person. Decided to ignore it and rang HMRC directly to check. They told me they’d never call out of the blue like that and would always send a letter before any action. Sounds like a classic scam, watch out for these calls!

Got a call earlier on with a voicemail asking me to press 1 to speak to my case handler, pretending to be from HMRC saying they’re taking legal action against me. I just gave it a miss and blocked the number. If it was really important, I’m sure they’d send a letter or have a real person call instead of some automated message.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they're from HMRC, saying I'd better ring them back or they'd start some claim against me. Pretty sure it's a scam, so just ignore it and block the number if possible.
