I’ve been getting calls from this number all day, and it’s a bank holiday for goodness sake! They just won’t stop ringing. Ended up hanging up straight away. Total SCAM.

Got a call on 29th April 2017 from someone who said they were with BT Open Reach. They started asking about my internet speed acting up and said it was causing problems for them. They kept pushing me to visit a certain website, but I wasn’t having any of it. Ended the call pretty quick.

On 28/4/17, I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT’s head office. They kept telling me there were problems with my internet, but the number they rang wasn’t even connected to our broadband. To make things stranger, our phone service isn’t with BT anymore. In the end, they just dropped the call.

Just got this phone call too, and I didn't share anything since it was pretty clear it was a scam.

Got a call again after just a day or so. The bloke had a foreign accent and claimed to be from BT, warning me that my emails were being targeted by hackers recently. He told me to get my laptop and started asking me to press certain keys, which I reckon was his way of trying to get access to my info. When I asked him to send all the details in an email instead, he just hung up. I've let BT know about it now.
