Just got in from work and my phone showed an international number. Checked it out and realised it wasn’t anyone from my family. I let it ring to voicemail and then hung up. It’s pretty annoying because I do have relatives overseas, so you immediately worry when you see those calls. Shouldn't these kinds of overseas scams be banned? Honestly, we don't need more hassle in life with companies doing these random cold calls.

Pretty sure this is an American call centre doing that voucher scam thing. They claim to offer vouchers for the UK Big 4, but it’s total rubbish. Definitely a scam, best to just block the number.

Pretty much the same experience as you lot. A woman called Natalie speaking with a North American twang, trying to offer me some supermarket voucher deal. When I mentioned the telephone preference service, she actually admitted to knowing about it. I joked back saying she’d caught me just as I was on the loo!

DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER. Every time it rings, it just goes to voicemail. The moment I let it go to voicemail, the caller hangs up. Clearly, they don’t want to actually talk or leave a message. Looked it up and loads of others are reporting the same annoying calls. These are definitely dodgy calls. Always coming up with new tricks to scam you.

Totally a scam. They claim you’ll get a voucher if you buy from Tesco or Morrisons. Seriously, how many folks in the UK havent been in those places? Like, almost everyone right? They’re just after your info to nick your cash or maybe even your identity.

Got a call from these lot just now. Friendly American lady on the line, but you could tell it was from some call centre - loads of background noise. She claimed I'd won a £50 fuel voucher for Asda/Morrisons/Sainsbury's or Tesco and asked if I wanted it for petrol or diesel. When I said no to giving my age bracket, they just dropped the call. They did mention an address that was nearly right. I'm guessing it’s linked to some utility provider.

Got a call from this number on Saturday. It was a polite and clear female Asian voice (quite unexpected) saying she was from Tesco/Sainsbury's/Asda/Morrisons. Said I’d won £90 in some customer feedback draw and asked to confirm my details. I said no thanks but she kept pushing until I told her she was probably a scam, then she just hung up. When will Offcom put a stop to these?

I received two calls yesterday that didn’t go through. Later that night, there were three attempts, but the call disconnected before anyone answered. Quite annoyingly, it seemed to interfere with our line, as we were unable to make outgoing calls following those attempts.

This caller was clearly attempting to coax me into affirming with a "YES". Quite dodgy, if you ask me. They kept repeating, “Can you hear me?” and appeared rather displeased when I responded with, “I can hear you.” I decided to end the conversation and put the phone down.

Got a call from a lady who sounded really American, going by the name Michelle, and she even knew my last name. She started asking which supermarket I usually go to and about my landline. Then she wanted to know how old I roughly was. I got a bit suspicious and asked her why she needed that info, then she just cut off the call.

This number rang me asking for a Mrs Rostron. I explained that Mrs Rostron hasn’t had this phone for more than 12 years. The woman on the line then asked if I’d listen to her but I said no, it’s a cold call and I’m not interested. She then threatened to call me repeatedly every day to annoy me. When I rang the number back, it just went to a voicemail for some bloke named Mike. Definitely a scam in my opinion, and I’ve reported it. Would advise others to do the same.

Received a ring from this number earlier. Didn't pick up, let the voicemail handle it since it sounded like one of those automated calls pretending to be from nearby. Well, it’s not fooling me. I’m waiting for my new call blocking phones to be delivered so I can finally shut these annoying lot out. My number must’ve been added to some fresh spam list - I’m getting bombarded with them. Just got a ring from this number. An Asian woman asked if I was Miss Mary. Sensing it might be a scam, I said I could be whoever you need, love. Then she asked if I'd ever bought stuff at Tesco, Morrison’s or Sainsbury’s. I told her, “If this is a scam, you’re wasting your time, mate.” Then the line went straight dead!

Some woman called about a Sainsbury’s voucher as a thank you for customers. I asked if there was a catch, she said no, then oddly started telling me how young my voice sounded! Seems like she was trying to butter me up, but it didn’t work. She then asked if I’d prefer the voucher put through the letterbox or left in the porch - honestly, that felt a bit strange. I said through the letterbox, then she just hung up. Makes me think they might be scouting for homes with easy access or something.

Got a call from this number - sounded like an American woman but had an Asian accent. She claimed I’d won £50 from Morrison's, something about a competition with Tesco and Sainsbury's too. She knew my last name but then asked how to say my first name. I told her, it’s quite uncommon so most folks don’t get it straight away. She seemed a bit rattled, so I asked if she had it written down how she thought it was pronounced. She got a bit annoyed, so I told her I didn’t want the voucher and asked her not to ring me again.

Somebody said they were from "Unicare" in Watford. I mentioned that the 602 code is actually for Phoenix, Arizona, not Watford, and then the lady, who had a faint East Asian accent, just ended the call.

a woman calling me up saying theres a deal from bt giving out free fuel gift cards as a thanks for being a customer. when i said id ring bt myself to confirm, she just snapped back with ‘you do that who cares.’ sounded like a total scam to me, that rude reply was a dead giveaway.
