Got loads of calls from this number, with someone saying they're Murray from Johnson Associates in New York, acting on a takeover deal for Tottenham Hotspur. Now they’re bringing up paying some sort of insurance indemnity, which sounds pretty dodgy to me. Wouldn’t trust it.

WARNING - REPORTED TO ACTION FRAUD. Like others have mentioned, this is definitely a scam. They called me before pretending to be from Wall Street, New York, but it was a complete lie. They act like they already know your investment details, saying a client wants to buy your shares for way above their value because they need a few more to get control of the company. If you get involved, they’ll slowly gain your trust, sometimes taking weeks, before tricking you out of loads of your money. I’d recommend looking up the "which" article on the share-buying phone scam for more info.

Got a call from a lady claiming she was from Callister Capital in New York, talking about my SSE shares. She actually mentioned my name and confirmed I owned shares. She told me to keep everything hush-hush as there might be a deal happening soon. I ended up filling out their form, but honestly, the details they asked for didn’t reveal anything they didn’t already have.

Someone rang me up claiming they wanted to buy shares in BlackRock Greater Europe, brought up Merril Lynch, and said they were allowed to pay somewhere between £10 and £17 per share. I told them to send me the info through the post, but the woman insisted it was urgent and asked for my email. When I asked if she had an email address to send from, the call just dropped.

It's creepy how they called me using my name and mentioned stuff about my personal affairs. I reckon there’s been some serious leak of data somewhere. I tried to raise concerns but got brushed off pretty quickly. Definitely worrying times.

My Call Guardian managed to block most calls, but this one sneaked through three different times. The very first was yesterday when I picked up and heard a woman with an accent wanting to talk to me. I just hung up straight away. Then she called back a bit later, I let it go to voicemail but there was nothing left. She’s called again just moments ago, so I did the same and again, no message.
