At around 09:20, I got a call and on my caller ID it showed this number, listed as coming from overseas.

Today at about 9.15 in the morning, I got a call from this number asking if I owned a Hotpoint or Bosch washing machine. I was curious and asked what the reason was. She kept saying, "I just want to know what kind it is." I pressed again and asked why she needed to know. She just kept repeating her question. I asked where she was calling from and she said central London, but honestly the line was so poor I doubted that. Then I asked if she was working for some marketing firm, but she didn’t answer. She then switched to speaking in an Asian accent, repeating her washing machine question again. I once more asked why she wanted to know, and then suddenly she just hung up.

we got a call from someone with an asian accent asking if we owned a bosch or hotpoint washing machine. my partner kept asking what the call was about, which company she was from, and why she needed that info. instead of answering, she kept repeating her question about the machine’s brand. then she got a bit shouty, saying “i just want to know what washing machine you have, what’s your problem? honestly.” before slamming the phone down. pretty obvious it’s a scam if they can’t just explain why they’re calling or who they’re with.

Got a call from some guy at a call centre, sounded Asian. If it had been something to do with my PC, i would have kept him talking just for laughs, but since it was about my washing machine, i was clueless what he wanted so just ended the call. Still scratching me head over what the deal was!
