Strangest call I've ever gotten!

Some guy with an asian accent rang me on my mobile, saying he could help block those annoying spam calls. Weird thing is, he mentioned my old address, where I haven't lived for more than a year, so clearly his info is out of date. I told him I was keen to stop the nuisance calls, but he seemed to get suspicious and suddenly hung up. Lesson learnt - never ever share your credit card expiry details with anyone on the phone!

I got a call asking for my card info, total scam. I just told them no and ended the call straight away. Don't share anything, just cut off the call!

I got a call from this number even though I have a call blocker from BT. The guy said his name was John, but he had an Indian accent. When I asked how he managed to get past the blocker, he claimed he worked for a nuisance calls company. I wasn’t buying it and he just ended the call. Looks like a pretty sneaky scam, so watch out!

On the 13th of October 2016, at approximately 12:50 in the afternoon, I received a call from the same number. The caller, a woman, requested that I verify the expiration date on my card. It struck me as rather odd, so I decided to end the call.

Got a call from this number, a lady with an Indian accent who said her name was Jenny. She was trying to sell me a service to stop annoying calls forever and asked for my card details, which I obviously said no to. She then gave me some contact details to reassure me - said it was Bentinck House, Bentinck Road, West Drayton, Middlesex, UB7 7RQ, phone number 0203 011 0504. Turns out that’s actually an accountants’ office, and I’ve let them know about this possible con.

This evening, I received a call from this number, which was all about nuisance calls. They asked if I ever got such calls, to which I replied in the affirmative. I also made it clear that I wouldn't be sharing any of my personal information with them. Just like that, they hung up! It’s best to stay vigilant, everyone!

Got a call from someone saying they were with the telephone preference service. They already knew my name and where I live, which freaked me out a bit. Then they asked if I normally pay my phone bill with direct debit, saying the card on file had run out. Tried to get me to give my card info. I just ended the call straight away - definitely felt like a scam.

Got a call on the 8th of August, they wanted to speak to my husband who sadly passed away five years ago. I told them to take my number off their list. Then, out of nowhere, they called again today, the 9th. A bloke named John said he was from some 'secure calls' team and claimed he could stop all the annoying calls I keep getting. He even had my address and asked if my visa debit card would expire this year. I told him I wasn’t interested in talking about it and asked once again to have my number deleted from their records. Both calls have been reported to the telephone preference service.

I received a rather intrusive phone call regarding persistent nuisance calls, claiming they would put an end to them starting the following day. They proceeded to mention my debit card, stating it had expired in 2017. After that, I was connected to another individual who started discussing prices. I firmly informed him that I wasn't interested at all.

This bloke rang me up asking if I wanted to put a stop to nuisance calls and if my credit card expired in 2017. I told him it did, even though it didn’t. He then told me to hang on a bit while he checked something and said he'd be back on the line soon. Before hanging up, he told me to have my credit card handy. I ended the call and noticed he tried calling me a few times after that. Definitely feels like some kind of scam. Don’t fall for this dodgy nonsense!

A bloke rang me asking for my card info. I said no way and warned I'd report him to action fraud. About 40 minutes later, the same guy called back, again wanting my card expiry date. Looks like this scam is also linked to the number 01527598705.

Got a call from someone saying they were handling nuisance calls and told my wife the calls were connected to her credit card. They asked for her card details and all that. Definitely seemed fishy because she doesnt even own a credit card. Total scam, I reckon.
