Some guy with an Asian accent called me, claiming he was an agent looking to purchase British Airways shares at a top price. I played a bit slow, and then he just ended the call.

Got a ring from this number but no message was left. When I looked them up, looks like they might be scammers. If they get in touch again, I’m defiantly having a word with them. It annoys me that firms, some of which I hold shares in, hand over my info to dodgy people trying to con mostly older folks. The telephone providers really ought to put a stop to this. Plus, our MPs, MSPs, Welsh Assembly and Northern Ireland government need to step in and crack down on these sneaky criminals.

I got a call from someone offering to purchase my Aviva shares at an amazing price, seemed like they had some kind of database with my info. Definitely a scam, watch out!

I got a call from a woman claiming she was calling from the States, talking about buying shares in National Grid. She mentioned the company was aiming to take a 51% stake and would offer between £25 and £70 per share. Something felt off, especially since she already had my name and address, which was pretty unsettling. She kept pressing me, but I just said I wasn’t interested and ended the call. This happened on the evening of August 1st, about 6.30pm.

Someone rang up asking for my dad by his first name, but he actually passed away like a decade ago and he lived miles away from me.

Got a call from this number with someone saying he was Michael Davies and looking for me. My wife answered instead and he started talking about a takeover of British Airways, thinking I'm a shareholder. I used to have shares, but since British Airways is under IAG, this sounded dodgy to me. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

This number keeps calling me a couple of times a week, sometimes even thrice in one day but never manages to get through. I've had to block it now. I've set my phone to 'do not disturb' so only selected contacts can ring, if it's really important they'll leave a voicemail!

So, apparently, some firm claims they're representing a buyer interested in purchasing shares from my husband as part of a takeover for Centrica (you know, British Gas). It might be legit… but honestly, I'm quite sceptical!

Didn't pick up cause it was an American number I knew, and there was no voicemail or anything. Probably just a scam call.

Used this company before to repair my garage door, so I called an engineer again. The bloke came over and sorted the door out pretty quickly, which was good.

Yesterday this number rang us but we didn’t pick up and there was no voicemail left. Today, a guy called mike * claiming to be from 'campbeltown partners' asked for me by name, saying I’m a shareholder in some company. When I told him I wasn’t interested and started looking up his company online, the call just cut off on him. Feels a bit dodgy if you ask me.
