Got a call from some bloke who said he was Alan and worked for BT. He reckoned the Windows Tech team had flagged up that my internet connection was at risk over the past few days. He threw around some dodgy terms about CLL data or whatever that sounded completely made up. We don’t even use Windows, and I can’t see why BT would be working with Microsoft like that. I’m pretty sure he was angling to get my bank info or control of my PC next, but I just had a laugh and ended the call. Watch out for these sorts of scams.

Got a call from a bloke claiming there was something wrong with my BT broadband. I explained I’m not a BT customer at all. He kept pushing, saying I was with BT, using some sort of aggressive attitude like “I know you’re with BT.” I said I work in IT and he was totally wrong. Then out of nowhere he told me to “f##k off, man.” I told him to get lost, eyes front mate (sorry for the swearing), but that was basically how the chat went. Never had a legit company tell me to f##k off before, crazy.

It’s been buzzing non-stop, but we just let it ring ‘cause the caller ID shows who it is!

Just got another call from some bloke pretending to be from BT tech support. I told him BT isn't even the company I use for internet, but he kept insisting it was super important anyway. Definitely a scam.

My folks' landline has been getting bombarded with calls from this same number, at least 15 times in just 10 minutes. The caller first said they were with BT customer support but hung up straight away when we said we don’t use BT. After that, they kept phoning non-stop, which was really annoying and stressful. We’re pretty upset about the whole thing and have now reported it to BT so they know someone’s pretending to be their support team.

Got a call from this Indian guy claiming he was with BT tech support. Wouldn’t let me say a thing, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT tech support, sounded like an Indian guy. He wanted to talk to the primary internet user here and kept calling me Ma’am. If he’d actually got the account name right, I might have played along and asked for my BT account number. But it was pretty clear as a scam, so I just hung up straight away without a peep.

I kept saying "hello" over and over but got nothing, then all of sudden they just hung up on me. It was like speaking to a dead line or something.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be with BT tech support about my internet. I told him straight up he wasn’t legit and to stop calling me. But the guy wouldn’t quit, kept ringing non-stop. In the end, I had to unplug my phone just to get some peace!

So this guy tries to fool you claiming he’s got your PC id number, which actually is just a generic number all Windows computers have. Just be nice but tell him to do one and end the call. Definitely a scam!

I got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft's "Azure" Tech Support, claiming my Windows 10 PC was likely infected with some nasty malware and it needed an urgent check-up. I kept telling the bloke I wasn’t about to go fiddling around my computer with some random call centre person, but he just wouldn’t get the message. Eventually, I had to just hang up on him.

I got a call from a bloke claiming to be from "Microsoft Support," saying we had to download something from his site or else our computers would get seriously messed up. Total phone spam. I asked him to point out exactly which one of our 500 machines was causing trouble. Once he twigged he’d rung a business line, he just hung up.

These lot keep ringing non-stop, sometimes thrice a day! We've asked them loads of times to leave us alone. But today was too much - some bloke with an accent actually said he’d be waiting outside our place just to shoot us!!! He was chuckling, but I’m definitely not laughing...

Got a call saying our boiler's got some fault and the repair bill will be massive - definitely sounds like a total rip-off to me.
