I don’t even earn a salary, being a stay-at-home mum, so I don’t pay tax anyway. I’m pretty sure HMRC would get in touch properly if there was a problem. But honestly, if an elderly person got this call, it could scare them into replying, and I bet pressing one just lets them hack your phone or try to scam you out of cash.
