Someone rang me up and ended up threatening to have me arrested.

Today this number rang me 5 times in just 4 hours - totally annoying. I actually dealt with the same issue a few weeks ago as well.

Got a call from a man with a thick English accent, warning me that my National Insurance number was frozen and that I'd be arrested if I didn't act. He rang me three times all on the same day.

Been getting quite a few calls over the past week from numbers claiming to be HMRC. They go on about arrest warrants and then tell you to "press 1" which just screams scam. I keep telling my missus to just ignore and hang up, no matter what they say, but it still makes you uneasy. It's awful to think how many folks might fall for this, especially those who aren't so tech savvy. Why is it so hard to shut these numbers down once they're spotted? Seems like it should be easier to stop them.

I wasn't totally sure what was going on, but there was this recorded message implying that I had some problem with my National Insurance, and that the Government supposedly put out a warrant for my arrest. They then said to press one if I wanted to sort it out or something like that.

Got a call from this number but quickly hung up as soon as I saw it.

They really ought to catch this caller and throw the book at them - jail time for ages and a hefty fine to match.

Got a really bad quality call from a man saying there was a UK European Arrest Warrant out and that our bank accounts would be frozen. He told us to press 2 for more info, which I guessed was just a trick to steal bank details. It was really scary and stressful, especially for my husband who's Italian and has been here for 45 years in what feels like a pretty hostile atmosphere at the moment. We ended up with 5 missed calls and voicemail messages over the last two days. I've blocked the number now and reported it to the police because it’s clearly a scam and definitely against the law.

I received a rather alarming automated call claiming that my National Insurance number had been suspended. The message urged me to press 1 for further details, warning that if I didn't comply, a warrant for my arrest could be issued. Quite the scare tactics they used!

Got a call from a recorded message about some arrest warrant and my national insurance being suspended. The whole thing was pretty confusing but would seriously scare older folks or anyone not paying attention. Felt like a total threat, even if it didn’t really add up.

As others have mentioned, this is a bogus automated call saying there's a warrant for your arrest and telling you to press 1.

I’ve got the same messages repeated a bunch of times from this number. It’s happened like three times just today, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a robo call saying the UK government had taken legal action against me and my National Insurance number was blocked. They said I’d get arrested if I didn’t press 1. Just ended the call straight away.

So I just got a weird call about some warrant supposedly out for my arrest. No idea what it could be about, felt pretty sketchy to me. Tried to ask more but they hung up. Definitely not something I’m taking lightly though.

Just got a dodgy call, I quickly ended it. Definitely don’t hit 1 when they ask.

there was this recorded message from a man, but the start was cut off and all I caught was something about a warrant being issued for an arrest if you didn't do something. honestly, it sounds really scary and could be quite upsetting for someone who’s easily worried.
