No way this was really a call from Bermuda. It’s probably a bogus number being used by scammers from India or Russia. There are software systems that let crooks do stuff like this. Rule number two for keeping safe nowadays is don’t ever return a missed call from a number you don’t recognise. (Rule one is never share any details if you answer the call). I get tons of these calls all the time, usually from fake or even real looking, but spoofed, UK numbers.

It’s not the exact same number, but for the past few years whenever my dad rings me from England to here in Canada, the caller ID pops up as Devonshire, Bermuda. Weird thing is, he’s 85 and hasn’t been outta England in more than a decade!
