On 15th March at about 1.23pm, my phone rang but as soon as I picked up, there was just silence on the other end. I’ve already blocked a bunch of 001441 numbers before, so I’m wondering if this is some fresh number trying to sneak past my blocked list?

Yesterday I blocked three different phone numbers starting with 00144 from Bermuda, and today another one popped up. The caller claimed to be from BT, saying there was a fault and needed access to my internet. It was another Bermuda number, which seemed odd. I told her straight up that I wasn’t falling for it and knew it was a scam! Funny enough, the area really did have an internet outage the day before the first call came through. After that second call yesterday, I rang BT myself and confirmed it’s all part of that well-known BT scam.
