7 yearsYet another fraudulent call masquerading as an 'Amazon Prime' notification! My son’s just made a purchase on Amazon, so had I not previously encountered calls of this nature or checked with him about it, I could have easily fallen victim to their ruse! The robotic voice chimes in, stating, "Your Amazon Prime Account has been automatically renewed, and £39.99 has been deducted from your bank. To terminate your subscription, press 1 to connect with an advisor." I can only imagine that if you do so, they’ll swiftly ask for your bank information under the guise of issuing a ‘refund’ for the deducted amount. Given the hectic shopping season, it’s all too simple to feel flustered and ring them back. However, this is a blatant scam, so I implore you, do not engage!
