Just got one of those dodgy 'Amazon Prime' calls again! My lad recently ordered something from Amazon, so if I hadn’t already had a few of these dodgy calls before and checked with him first, I might have fallen for it. The message was all automated, saying: "Your Amazon Prime subscription has been renewed and £39.99 taken from your account. Press 1 to talk to an advisor to cancel." I’m pretty sure if you do press 1, they’ll try to get your bank info to ‘refund’ you. At this time of year, with everyone shopping online, it’s easy to panic and ring back - but it’s a total scam, so don’t fall for it! They claimed it was an international call from the US, but I’ve got all foreign calls blocked anyway. Stay alert!
