This number rang me earlier today and some nervous lady with an accent was on the line, asking for me by my full name. She claimed to be calling from Microsoft’s “computer department.” I was quick to shout “Are you kidding me?” and then hung up straight away. Sometimes I wish I could ask them why they don’t just find a proper job instead of scamming folks like this, whether they feel bad about it at all. But honestly, I get so worked up that I just forget to say anything.

This company keeps ringing me like two or three times every single day now. Honestly, I’m so fed up with having to tell the muppet on the line to do one!

Totally a scam, I called them out and they just ended the call.

Like some others mentioned, I got a call from a polite bloke with a strong accent claiming to be from Microsoft. He gave me a number he said was my computer licence and told me to jot it down. Then he started going on about some file called Event.log I apparently downloaded, which was supposedly sending all my computer activity to others. He said it was his responsibility to fix this. I told him no way was he getting remote access and that I'd have my own tech mate take a look. He just ended the call after that.

Some woman with an Asian accent rang me up and started chatting for ages, saying I’d got a “Windows Licence number” and that my PC was hacked. I told her my computer is barely on - just a few minutes in the morning and evening for emails. Still, she went on about me ignoring supposed warning emails from Windows. In the end, I didn’t buy it and just ended the call.

When I called him out, this guy of Asian background started getting verbally aggressive with me.

Somebody called me claiming to be from Microsoft, said he was an accountant or something. I kept going with it for a bit just to see what would happen. Honestly, can’t understand why people do stuff like this!

Got a call from a woman with an accent talking about my computer, I told her I don't own one. Then the call just went dead quiet.

I acted all shocked and asked her to explain again how she was so sure about the issue. I even mentioned how odd it was since we don’t own a computer at all! Right after that, the call just dropped without a word!

Today, at around 9:30 in the morning, I got a call. I went to answerphone to hear the message but there wasn’t anything left. Strange!

Got a couple of calls today from some muppets claiming to be from Microsoft, saying they had to get into my computer. Yeah, right! On the second time they rang, I played along and told them I was a cop, then started reading them their rights over the phone. They legged it quicker than I expected, couldn’t end the call fast enough!

Got a couple of calls from these clowns today claiming to be from Microsoft and saying they needed to get into my computer. Seriously? On the second call, I told them I was a cop and started reciting their rights over the phone. They ended the call quicker than you can blink!

This number has rung me about three times over the past few weeks. Each time, they claim my computer’s got a problem. I always say there’s nothing wrong and ask for a contact number to call them back, and they just drop the call straight away. Today they rang again, shouting “Police” over the phone. You could hear people chuckling in the background like it was some joke. Proper rubbish scam, honestly.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said her name was Flora. She told me my email was hacked and gave me some kind of reference number, then asked me to switch on my computer to get the Microsoft licence info. I said I was tied up and arranged for her to call me again the next day. I rang 1471 and saw the number 0014195323042. I can tell from that number the person’s gonna be pretty unpleasant.

This number, 0014195323042, called me again today but I didn’t pick up. They’d rung once before about my computer - do they really believe I’m that daft? Such a nuisance!

Seems I've encountered a rather dodgy Microsoft impersonator. They've been ringing me up, insisting that my computer's riddled with some sort of glitch that only they can remedy. Their spiel includes step-by-step guidance to grant them remote access to my machine. It’s clearly nothing more than a colossal scam.

Got a call from some woman sayin my computer was hacked. Told her both my folks were at work, and it was the middle of a Thursday arvo. She didn’t seem too happy when I said I wasn’t buyin it.

I answered the call and said “hello” a few times, but there was no one there to respond. Instead, after a short pause, an automated female voice just said "goodbye." There was also a weird high-pitched noise in the background.

this guy with an asian accent rang me claiming he was from microsoft support and said there was an issue with my PC they needed to fix. he then tried to read out some so-called licence ID number and wanted me to check it on my computer. i told him straight up i wasn't gonna follow any instructions unless he could prove who he actually was. he gave some dodgy address, something like 80 victoria street sw1eSjl - sounded made up to me. as soon as he realised i wasn't falling for it, he just hung up on me.

My pakistani wife kept bothering me about some issue with her computer, so I hit the red button on my CPR call blocker. Feels so good to know she won’t be ringing me back again. Too right, no more calls from her!

My phone buzzes maybe two or three times a day with calls that just drop out as soon as I pick up, no chance to say a word. Most of them show up as withheld numbers, but this one had a number starting with 00. Sometimes it’s just 00 on its own. Proper annoying, these mystery silent calls.
