I received a call from this number and a voicemail from hotels.com saying to look at an email about our booking being cancelled and to call them back. I’m now trying to get hold of the hotel we booked to confirm if this is legit or if it’s some kind of scam. The email had an American phone number for contacting "hotels.com" which makes me even more suspicious.

They claimed they were calling from 141 but I couldn't ring them back here in the UK. Feels dodgy, like a scam number trying to trick me into cancelling a booking.

I got a call from a young woman with a thick Hispanic accent who said she was from Expedia. She wanted to check if our rental holiday home had been hurt by the storms lately. I told her it hadn’t, and she just hung up right after that.
