Someone called claiming to be from BT. When I asked her name, she said it was Selena Jonnes, but when I asked her to spell it out, I could clearly hear her asking someone nearby for help! I kept chatting with her for quite a while, and I'll admit, she was pretty persistent. The weird part was that I was actually experiencing some issues with my internet, but it still felt like a scam all the same.

Someone called saying they were from BT and warned me my internet was about to be disconnected. When I questioned them, they just ended the call. After that, I rang BT myself and found out all their official numbers begin with 0800.

Somebody called saying they were from BT saying they’d shut off my internet. I just said “great” and then they just ended the call right away!

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT’s internet support, said they needed my router and user info to stop my connection from getting cut off. I didn’t give anything and when I asked them to explain more, they just dropped the call.
