Got a call about some Scottish gov scheme for a free boiler swap with no upfront cost. Pressed 2 to speak to someone but the background noise was ridiculous so couldn't catch what the bloke said. Asked him nicely to say who was calling and he claimed he just told me, but I missed it with all the racket. When I asked again, he gave his name, but refused to say the company's name, just muttered "whatever" and then hung up. Absolutely ridiculous! When will the government sort out these annoying calls? Being on the TPS or having an ex-directory number doesn't seem to stop it one bit.
