It was defo a woman from the States, had a really strong accent. She said something about some payout cause of New Start, but honestly I ain’t got a clue what she was on about. When I said I couldn’t get what she was saying, she suddenly got all rude and asked if I couldn’t speak English! I just ended the call straight away.

I honestly have no clue who sent me that email or what for. It feels a bit annoying trying to figure out who supposedly wanted to ring me. Loads of time gets wasted trying to work out the who and why when I could be getting on with something more important instead. CB.

0014086104900 rang me two times on my landline but the phone only gave one ring since I've got one of those call blockers that only lets it ring if a real person is talking. It happened right after I was trying to confirm my home number with AOL. After seeing what others said, I’m not even going to bother trying to verify it again.

This number is one you get sent to when you need to confirm your AOL login, especially if you’re signing in from another device. Just a heads up, it also asks you to do this if you use a VPN. So it’s kinda legit but with a catch - they charge you £2.50 for verification. Feels like a sneaky way for AOL to make money!

This number rang me, but since we use a call blocker and didn’t recoginse the number, the phone didn’t even buzz. They didnt seem ready to tell us who they were, which made us think twice about picking up. With all the other reviews too, we’ve decided to just block this number altogether.

No idea who this number is. It showed up on my O2 bill charging me £2.50. I think it was linked to some dodgy AOL call about suspicious activity. Guess AOL must've blocked it since they asked me to confirm my account using my mobile. After I did that, everything seemed fine with AOL again.

I found this info on AOL's site: if you come across an AOL UK customer service phone number on the internet, it’s not actually AOL’s support team. If you’re struggling to log into your AOL account, forgot your AOL Mail password, or need help with any AOL product or service, the best way to reach them is through their Contact Us page and then choose the Email us option.

Tried logging into my AOL but it said there was unusual activity, so I asked for a verification code. My phone rang and I heard a voice that sounded American. I didn’t listen carefully to the code because I suspected it was some kind of scam. I dialled 1471 to check the number and it matched this one. Still can't get into my own computer to check emails, but can access them on my brother’s. I’ll give it another go once I’m back from holiday, but I won’t use that verification code again in case it’s a hack or scam.
