Got a call from 001404814843, some bloke pretending to be from Microsoft saying my PC was riddled with errors. I was certain it was a con from the start. He told me to press ctrl and kept asking loads of questions, but I just told him my computer was at the shop getting fixed. Then he lost it, swearing at me and ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming they were watching my computer and said it had security problems. Then they asked if my computer was switched on. I said yes. After that, they wanted to know if I could spot the CTRL key. I replied, "Yeah, it’s right beside the one labelled ‘Bulls’." Total scam. Then the bloke called me a ‘motherf…’ and just hung up.

This number has popped up a few times over the past couple days. It shows up as 'International' on my phone, then that number. I never picked up, just let it ring through to voicemail but no one left a message. I looked it up elsewhere and apparently it's one of those Microsoft scam calls - they claim there's an issue with your computer. Best not to engage or answer, just block it if your phone lets you. These scams are dodgy since they often fake the number that appears on caller ID. Stay cautious!

Got a call from a woman saying there was an issue with my computer - I don’t even own one. When I told her she’d reached an IT Solutions firm, she said she’d connect me to her manager. I ended the call, but they rang back straight away. This time, a different woman answered with “Hello IT Solutions” and told me to press the Windows key. I told her we actually are an IT company, then she snapped, “You scare me, you f***ing b****!” and slammed the phone down. Pretty sure this was a scam.
