Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said she needed to discuss my Barclaycard account. I told her I don't even have one. Plus, I’m registered on the call blocking list, so how did she get through? Bit dodgy if you ask me.

I got a call on 15th June 2018 around 09:25 BST. When I picked up and said "hello," there was nothing but silence on the other end. After a few seconds, the call just dropped. Seems like it was some sort of automated caller that never went any further to connect me with a live scammer.

I picked up and got nothing but quiet, then the call dropped after a few seconds. Just wasting my time!

Around 10:45 on the 14th June, I got a call from this number in the UK. There was nobody on the other end when I picked up. It felt like it was one of those automated calls just trying to see if someone answers before connecting you to a call centre or for some sort of sales call. I ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who asked for someone with a name almost like mine but slightly wrong. I just replied ‘why?’ She then said, “I’m Jenny,” probably reading from a script, and claimed to be calling from Visa and Mastercard security. I bluntly told her, “No, you’re not!” She snapped back, “How do you know?” and immediately hung up on me. I’m definitely reporting this as a phishing attempt to the Action Fraud site.

So this guy rings me up and asks for me by name. I didn’t say yes or no, just asked who he was. He said he was Mark Watson talking about something to do with my Mastercard. I told him that sounded pretty important, and then he just ended the call. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from a man with an accent from the South Asian region, sounded like he was working in some call centre. He claimed to be from Google and asked about my business. When I told him I don’t have any business, he quickly said sorry and admitted he must’ve dialled the wrong number. Seemed a bit dodgy, maybe one of those scam calls trying to catch people out.
