Got a call from someone saying they were from TalkTalk about an issue with my router. As soon as I asked for details, they just ended the call. Needless to say, I blocked the number straight away.

Virgin Media! Total scam alert, they just keep on ringing with those annoying jingly calls. I tried getting BT to block the number but it’s pointless since they just call from a different one, obviously from some call centre in India. From what I’ve read, BT only blocks the number for the specific line that complains, why don't they just block it for every BT customer? That would make sense. Also, does anyone know if IT, or even Ofcom, ever check this brilliant site and do anything about these dodgy calls? Feels like they should!

sounds like that call came from india and it's some sort of scam where they want you to let them take over your computer so they can steal your passwords and nick money from your bank account and stuff like that. watch out and dont fall for it!

Had this bloke on the phone who claimed he was with TalkTalk, saying my internet was running slow. He was asking about what gadgets I’ve got and wanted me to switch on my computer. Then he started asking about the keys on my keyboard, telling me to press certain buttons. I acted clueless and he quickly ended the call. Can’t believe this is the third dodgy call I’ve had in just a couple of months.

I answered the phone but as soon as the voicemail kicked in, they just ended the call. After reading through the other comments, seems like it's just another one of those scam calls.

Got a call earlier saying my computer was acting up slow. Told them to buzz off and hung up. Then about 10 minutes later, they called again asking for some Asian woman. When I asked what the deal was, they said they wanted money. I just said, “Yeah right, so why exactly are you calling me?”

They called me again on 10th June 2017 claiming to be from Virgin Media's tech support. I’ve flagged this up on Virgin Media’s own forum. If these calls are actually coming from the US, I suppose there’s not much we can do to block them, but surely this counts as fraud? I’ve also tried contacting the Telephone Preference Service, but from what I can tell, they only handle private numbers. Such a pain!

They ring me every day, sometimes a couple of times a day, saying they have to check my computer or schedule. They warn that if I don’t let them do some online process with my computer soon, they’ll disconnect me in a few days. If you try to question them, they just hang up.

Got a call saying my Virgin Media router needs an update asap or they’ll cut my service - problem is, I’m not even a Virgin customer! Bit fishy if you ask me.

Got calls about 10 times from different numbers beginning with 012208, like 40xx, 60xx and also 0011449835209. They claimed to be from virgin media first, then switched to talktalk support - all just rubbish. I wouldn’t pick up if I were you.

Got two calls on June 15th from this number saying there was an issue with my BT internet. Problem is, I don't even use BT for my internet, so this was definitely a dodgy call trying to scam me!
