Got a call on my home phone from a guy with a really thick eastern accent, who said his name was ‘Frank Dale’ - sounded fishy to me. He claimed he was snapping up Lloyd’s Bank shares for some secret client wanting to grab a 51% stake to take control. He mentioned shares were going for 55p each (but actually they’re about 72p now), and then said he’d pay me £12 per share for my lot! Totally ridiculous if you ask me. Obviously, it was a scam attempt!
