Like someone else mentioned, my BT line suddenly stopped working. Then this morning at 8:53am I got a call from the US, number 001763262730. I was already on the phone with BT about something else so I told them about this scam and shared the numbers. Everyone's up against loads of scams nowadays, but thankfully most of us are pretty clued up to spot these dodgy characters.

Got a call from some scammer, it was a recorded voice saying I had to press 1 or my internet would be stopped. If I wanted to hang up, press 2. Total rubbish!

I received an automated call claiming that my BT Broadband would be cut off by the end of the day. They prompted me to press a button to connect with an adviser. Naturally, I pressed 1, and it acknowledged me, saying it would transfer me to a tech adviser. However, instead of connecting me, it abruptly thanked me and then just hung up!

Got a call saying they’d cut my internet off if I didn’t do something. When they told me to press 1, I just hung up. Funny thing is, I’m using my internet right now to write this, so that tells you all you need to know.

Got a call from BT saying they’d cut me off if I didn’t respond, so I hit 1. Then I ended up speaking to a lady who seemed totally lost for words haha. She asked why I’d pressed 1, so I told her to explain why they were calling me about a problem. Before I could get an answer, she just hung up on me!

Got a call just like the ones others mentioned, with some recorded message saying my internet would get cut off if I didn't hit 1. I rang up BT to check and turns out it's a scam. Looks like they’re trying to get you to give up your account info, probably including your payment details, so watch out for this trick.

Got a call earlier that was one of those robo threats. They told me to tap 1 if I wanna talk, and said my internet would be disconnected in a day. I just ended the call straight away. Seems dodgy - BT normally get me going for ages with a million questions when they ring me! Cheers, Keith :-)

Got a call telling me to press 1 or my internet would be cut off the next day. Some Asian bloke said he was from BT, but it was clearly a dodgy call. I asked him for his number, and he gave me 0044 01793 596931, but when I used 1471 the number showed up as 001. Complete con artists, can't imagine what they’re thinking with their small minds.
