On 8th December, this number rang me up. The bloke on the other end knew my name and introduced himself as Peter from TalkTalk. He claimed they noticed my internet was really slow from their system and asked me to turn on my computer so he could guide me through fixing it. I wasn’t planning on doing that but asked what the next step would be once I turned it on, and if it involved downloading anything. He wouldn’t answer, just kept insisting I switch the computer on. I told him I wasn’t about to fall for it and would call TalkTalk myself to confirm. That’s when he just ended the call!

Got a call from a guy with a strong accent claiming he was with TalkTalk and that my router was infected with a virus. I told him, "Let me guess, you want to get remote access and then ask for my bank info? I’ve seen these scams all over the newspapers." He quickly said he needed to talk to his manager and then just ended the call. Seems like quite a few folks know about these tricks these days.

I just got a phone call from a guy with a strong Indian accent saying he was with Talk Talk. There was loads of noise in the background and I struggled to catch what he was saying. Plus, he had no idea who I was, so I ended the call pretty quickly!

They kept phoning us non stop, claiming our router was broken. Honestly, just don't pick up or hang up straight away if you do!

They rang us up, saying they were from TalkTalk, insisting that they needed to resolve a problem with our router. They had our surname and address, which made them seem quite credible. However, something didn’t sit right with me, so I decided to end the call.

I’m with what was said on 27/11/2015, these scammers from India seem to be getting details from TalkTalk’s call centre because of some big security hole. It’s not just cyber crooks in the UK causing trouble - the call centres themselves are like a sieve, letting info slip through. Watch out for this!

Got calls from someone claiming to be TalkTalk like 5 times today. Finally picked up on the fifth ring and the guy goes, “Hello ma’am, this is TalkTalk regarding your router.” I said, “I’m not with TalkTalk.” Then he shocked me by asking, “Would you have sex with me?” I just hung up straight away. Seriously, don’t pick up if you see that number!

Got loads of calls from this guy who had an asian accent and there was always loads of noise in the background. He claimed to be from TalkTalk and weirdly seemed to know stuff about me already. He told me to switch on my computer because apparently there was a problem with my router. Totally felt like a scam to me!

Got a call earlier today from a bloke who didn’t speak much English. He knew my name and said he was from TalkTalk, mentioning some issue with my rota. I didn’t bother listening and just ended the call immediately.

I’ve had about half a dozen calls where they just hang up on me, really annoying! The first time, the caller tried getting me to open my internet browser and said they were from TalkTalk. I told them I’m not a TalkTalk customer, then they just cut the call. Not impressed!

I've been receiving calls from this number every couple of hours, which is quite distressing. I’ve got an answering machine set up since I struggle with answering the phone due to my anxiety. However, as soon as my machine picks up, they hang up. It’s rather frustrating not knowing who they are or what they want!

Between 9 in the morning and half past one, this number rang me about seven times. When I finally picked up, a guy with an Asian accent said he was calling from TalkTalk. But as soon as I said he could go on, he just ended the call. Strange behaviour if you ask me.

Got a call around 10:17 from someone with a strange accent and loads of background noise. They claimed to be from TalkTalk, my internet provider, and kept going on about my router showing connections from Liverpool and Manchester. Then they asked for the serial number on my router. It felt off, so I just ended the call. Didn't trust it at all.

Got a call around 9.51 in the morning from a bloke with a foreign accent. He claimed to be from "TalkTalk," my supposed internet provider. Thing is, I'm not even a TalkTalk customer, so now I'm wondering if this has anything to do with some sort of TalkTalk account hacking. The moment I told him I wasn’t their customer, he just cut the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me.
