Got a call from a so-called BT/Windows call centre scam. If you want to completely block these annoying calls, you should check out [spam website]. It worked for me 100%!

This number kept ringing an elderly woman I help out with cleaning. The people on the line claimed to be from some phone company that stops annoying calls and asked for her bank info and stuff. Luckily, she passed me the phone and I sorted them out pretty quick. Fingers crossed they don’t bother her again now.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT tech support, number 02032872062. I asked to speak to their supervisor, who also sounded Asian. When I said I doubted he was really from BT, he accused me of being a terrorist! I was like, how does that even make sense, you’re the one who called me. He kept calling me a “white rabbit,” which was quite confusing. He gave me his name but I didn’t buy it. The bloke got rude and refused to connect me to anyone higher up. Very dodgy experience overall.

I reckon this number is from Vancouver, where I've got relatives living. I'm planning on reaching out to them later today to see if they know anything. In Canada, messing about with phone calls like this is actually against the law, which is a relief. Over here though, it's a different story - BT have had a history of being linked with these annoying phone scammers, and it feels like they're backed by the powers that be in the UK. Hopefully, soon I'll be able to get a good night's sleep without these pesky calls constantly coming through.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was calling from BT. She actually knew my name and told me there was an issue with my internet, said some alerts were popping up saying hackers were trying to get in and I needed to do something quick or I'd lose my connection. Earlier that day, about an hour before, I also got a call from +971 9710023, but when I answered it and said hello, the call just cut off. Seems like both calls were part of the same dodgy scam.

Got a call from a man claiming to be from BT's tech team, saying there was an issue with my router and he could sort it out if I grabbed my laptop. I told him to call back later. Then I phoned the official BT customer support, and they told me straight away it was a scam.

Watch out for this one, seriously. I was struggling with my internet and they sounded convincingly real. They told me they were from BT. I’m usually pretty sharp but they almost had me fooled. They even knew the name the BT account was under (which isn’t mine). To ‘fix’ things, they asked me to get my laptop ‘cleaned’ just to be safe. What’s worse, they keep ringing me back. If they claim to be from BT, they definitely aren’t. They’re also using the 001 508 number.

Got a call at 1.22pm yesterday from someone claiming to be about our BT internet. I told them straight away we don’t even have BT, but he insisted he knew that and still wanted to chat about our BT internet service. I had to say again, we don’t use BT internet and have no interest in what they were selling. Asked them not to ring us back, especially since they’d already called the day before too.

Got a call from some asian bloke claiming he was with telephone preference or something about blocking unwanted calls. When I asked who exactly he wanted to speak to, he couldn't give me a straight answer. Told him he was actually one of those unwanted calls and asked him to remove our ex-directory number from their list. He was totally lost for words after that. Poor fella.
