Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent and loads of crackling on the line, like proper bad reception. He was asking for the person who owns the place. I told him no one was around and then he asked if I was related, so I just said I was the cleaner. He cut off straight away. It felt dodgy, especially since a mate of mine had her computer hacked after a very similar call. I checked the number with 1471 and then searched it here. Pretty relieved I didn’t get involved with it.

Someone rang asking for the house owner and said his name was Joseph when I asked. He had an Indian accent. He went on and on about some free boiler scheme from the government so I just ended the call. The line kept crackling with a lot of static. I've gotten a fair share of these calls recently - Indian-sounding voice, loads of static, and all about boilers or similar scams.
