I couldn't make heads or tails of the conversation, so I passed the phone to a mate who's a copper. He had a listen but then just placed it down without a word. Let's just say, the things he muttered were definitely not fit for polite company! Biianco

Got a call from a guy claiming to be from India telling me my router had issues. Total scam, watch out!

I received a call asking me to verify my bank card information for the TPS service, which is meant to be free from the government. Don’t fall for it-just hang up! It’s quite ironic that the TPS is meant to shield us from these fraudulent calls. Consequently, I've reached out to my phone provider to alert them of this number and to check my ex-directory status. I’m baffled as to why I'm still receiving these annoying calls even after going ex-directory six months ago!

I received a call from this number, and to my astonishment, they were aware of my name and postcode! Then, they had the audacity to ask for my bank card information. I attempted to call them back, yet the line was continuously engaged; it seems they’ve swiftly moved on to target the next unsuspecting individual. Whatever you do, do NOT divulge any information to them! They masqueraded as if they were affiliated with the government's Telephone Preference Service, claiming I needed to verify my bank card details in order to maintain my inclusion in the scheme. Just a heads up, the TPS is completely free! Hang up immediately and make sure to report them to the relevant authorities.
