Got loads of calls on my landline today, and each time they just left a beep on my answerphone. I didn’t pick up until the fourth one, and when I did, I hit 1 to tell them to leave me alone. The call dropped pretty quick after that. Reported it to Ofcom and Action Fraud cos I’m sure it’s some dodgy scam, nothing genuine about it.

I hit 1 when they called and they started off saying there was suspicious activity from abroad on my IP. They claimed they’d fix it at no cost. They then wanted me to switch on my computer, which I said I already had (I hadn’t). Then the bloke told me to open my browser and enter some stuff. I just had a laugh and told him not to waste my time like I had done with his, then they ended the call. (End of story)

Over the span of four days, I got three calls from this number telling me my internet would be disconnected. I decided to call my provider and they were really helpful, confirming everything was fine on their end. They told me to just ignore any more calls coming from this number.

Got a call just now, probably linked to that previous one I mentioned about those dodgy American scam folks. They threatened to disconnect my broadband if I didn’t respond to their robot call. Like that’s going to happen! Fair enough, go sniff glue or whatever you do, you miserable lot!

Pretty sure it was another one of those dodgy scam calls, maybe from the States. They often pretend to be from banks or about my broadband or some PPI thing. My phone buzzed a few times then just cut off when I picked up.

This number, 00127584830, rang me with a recorded message warning my internet would be cut off within two hours. It told me to press 1 to set up a new service or 2 to cancel. I didn’t press anything, I just ended the call straight away. I reckon if I’d pressed a button, they might have charged me somehow. Such calls feel really dodgy and I think they ought to be regulated better.

Been getting calls from Shirley and Karen again today, twice in about 20 minutes. They’re both supposed to be from my internet company, been going on for months now. Honestly, I don’t get who in the UK actually buys into these scams? There’s gotta be plenty of folk or else how do these people even afford to keep these calls going? Total madness!

This number has been ringing me nonstop. Yesterday I got one call, and then twice today on 15.10.2018, all within just a few hours. My internet is fine, so I reckon it’s definitely a scam. Best to just not answer.

Got a few calls today, each time they told me to hit 2 if I wanted to hang up - total scam, clearly. But I wonder how many folks actually press 2 thinking it ends the call? Just don't fall for it!

This has to be a scam, right? Honestly, do they really believe everyone’s that daft nowadays? It’s just wrong to go after the elderly and people who might not be able to spot this sort of nonsense! I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number already. Surely, if our internet was truly about to be cut off in a few hours, our provider would get in touch properly beforehand, not just out of the blue like this - especially if it’s some kinda emergency.

So this number, 001 2758 4830 from the States, rang me a few times: once on 13th October 2018 at around 9.32am GMT, then again on 10th October at 4.19pm, plus a couple more during the afternoon at about 3.15pm and 1.27pm, and once at 11.39am. Sounds like someone trying to spread some Trump-style fake news. They kept going on about broadband shutting down or something, but that’s rubbish - we’re in England and everything’s fine here. Honestly, just get lost. That’s all.

I got a recorded call telling me there was a problem with my router and my internet would go off. It asked me to hit 1 to talk to a tech or 2 to end the call. I just ended it without pressing anything and then blocked the number.

Since this time yesterday, I’ve had 11 calls from this same number, plus another one before 9 this morning. My BT Call Protect told me it’s stopped 354 calls in the last year alone. Crazy how persistent they are!

This number keeps ringing me non stop, it’s getting really annoying. Whenever I pick up there’s nobody there, so I just hang up right away. There should be rules about this kind of harassment just like with emails and data laws, but nobody seems to care. Since I started working from home, I’ve already had about 11 of these pest calls.
