9 yearsgot a call from some bloke named michael dawson, sounded indian, and i tried doing a little impersonation of him haha. not sure if he found it funny tho?Michael Dawson9 yearsI got a call from a woman who spoke with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT. She told me they'd been watching my phone line and noticed odd activity from around 2 am to 4:30 am. She asked me to verify my phone number, address, and postcode. I replied that since she’d just called me, surely she already had that info. That seemed to irritate her. She insisted that I give her my postcode. I said I couldn't recall it off the top of my head. That really seemed to annoy her - she snapped, "You must be quite thick," and then she hung up on me.BT9 yearsWe got a call on the 14th from someone claiming to be with BT, saying they needed to access our computer. We told them we don’t even have one, then they just hung up. The same number rang again on the 15th but we didn’t pick up.BT9 yearsHow come they still get away with it? Seems like no one’s stopping them!9 yearsI keep getting calls from a guy with an asian accent telling me my laptop’s picked up some kind of dangerous stuff. I hang up right away, but honestly, it’s a relief that sites like this one are around. It’s baffling why there’s no simple way to stop or block these annoying calls.9 yearsI got calls from someone pretending to be BT saying my line was about to be cut off. I ended up hanging up two times, but they kept ringing back again.BT9 yearsthis number rang me up saying they were calling on behalf of bt, but i’m pretty sure it was a scam.BT9 yearsThey said there’s a problem with my phone line, but I told them no thanks and to take me off their calling list since they ring me every single day. Then this guy with an Indian accent started swearing at me, telling me to go f**k myself. When I asked for a manager, he said he and the manager were coming round to my place to f*** me up. Then he acted like he was the manager and shouted even more insults before hanging up. I’m shocked! So glad I answered before my kids did! Absolute scum!India9 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with BT, telling me my computer was infected with viruses and offering to fix it, which was obviously rubbish. I asked the bloke, who spoke with a heavy Asian accent and wasn’t very clear, what department he was from and where their office was. Well, as soon as I asked, he just dropped the call.BT9 yearsthis morning my landline rang from this number, but as soon as i answered all i heard was the last word of a recorded message sayin ‘goodbye’.9 yearsSo I got a ringing from someone saying they were from BT and that my internet would be cut off soon. The call kicked off with the usual "can you hear me?" spiel. I’d heard about people recording you saying yes and using it to sign you up for things, so I was careful not to say yes at all. Instead, I just kept asking back “can you hear me?” trying to dodge their trap. You could tell they got pretty annoyed with me and in the end I just ended the call.BT9 yearsI got two phone calls today from a different number, 0161355901. I’d already checked online and knew it was probably a scam. The guy, calling himself Michael Wilson, went on with his usual spiel about fixing my computer. I played along for a bit, then told him straight up, “This is a scam, if I did what you’re claiming I’d be proper ashamed.” Then I hung up. He did sound pretty convincing, and yeah, no one wants their internet to drop, but come on, a virus on my internet line taking down the whole BTS system? That’s just laughable.Michael Wilson9 yearssomebody rang me saying they was from bt and told me my internet had been compromised overnight. They wanted me to do some stuff on my computer but i got suspicious and just hung up. Later i phoned bt myself and they told me it was a con as my line was fine and they never tried reaching out to me.BT9 yearsWithout a doubt, this was a scam. I got one of those dodgy BT internet hacking calls, this time from some bloke named Mike Dawson (honestly). He said he’d ring back around 2 in the afternoon, but I’m not home then, so he can keep trying all he likes.Mike Dawson9 yearshad two calls today, one at 8.07 in the morning and another around 2.35pm. first call showed a number i noted, the second was from a private or blocked number. thought it might be bt but it looked like a us number? my wife never picks up if the call is private or from a foreign number she doesn’t recognise showing on the screen. i automatically block those calls as soon as they come, but honestly they’re like weeds that just won’t go away. scammers are the worst kind of hackers, taking money off innocent people without feeling a bit guilty at all.BTAmerica9 yearsI keep getting calls from this number like every 30 minutes. They never leave a voicemail tho, so I’m thinking it might be some kind of scam. Maybe I’ll pick up next time and see what they’re after?Submit Your Own Report (274859681)
