I didn’t pick up, and it’s puzzling that the BT call blocking service didn’t register this number, meaning I can’t add it to my BT Call Protect list. After scrolling through some other people's experiences, I’m rather pleased I didn’t engage, as it might have made my blood boil. I've had my fair share of vile calls pretending to be from HMRC, threatening me with arrest over fictitious tax debts unless I coughed up thousands via credit card. I soon caught on to the scam and told them to get lost, but their attempts to frighten me had me a bit rattled at the time. Thankfully, I’m savvy enough to verify such claims using a search engine, but honestly, it’s shocking how they could’ve nearly sent me into a panic!

Just like countless others, I received the message about “£600 taken from my Visa account.” Curiosity got the better of me, so I pressed 1 for a bit of a laugh. An Asian woman’s voice came on, saying, “This is BT broadband.” Honestly, scammers these days are nowhere near as entertaining as they used to be. Such a letdown!
