I didn’t pick up, but weirdly BT’s call blocker didn’t even pick up the number either, so I can’t block it through BT Call Protect. Reading other folks’ replies, I’m relieved I didn’t answer because I’ve had some truly nasty calls pretending to be HMRC before, saying I owed loads in tax and would be arrested if I didn’t pay by card. I knew straight away it was dodgy and told them to get lost, but honestly, they were pretty intimidating and it did shake me up. Luckily, I’m quite good at googling stuff to check if things are legit, but some people might actually panic over calls like that.
