You’d imagine that con artists might know that the UK’s tax office wouldn’t be phoning folks up using some dodgy American automated voice, especially from a number in Huntsville, Alabama, to scare them about arrest or legal trouble over unpaid taxes. I gave them exactly what they deserved - told them to jog on after they said "HMRC" and then blocked the number straight away.
