Then, not long after, another call came through from some international number which I just blocked - I’m pretty sure it was the same lot. This same number has tried me a few times now. I tried ringing back 01522 751627, the number they first used, but it wasn’t recognised at all. Feels like a dodgy scam, probably trying to steal info or get you to ring some expensive number without you realising.

Got a call at work from some bloke called Richard, sounded like an indian geezer. I just stuck him on hold for ages, maybe about 5 minutes, and had a bit of a laugh with some classical tunes. What a mug.

These lot phone me a few times daily, all about switching my energy deals. They don’t seem to accept a simple no at all. If possible, just block the number. Otherwise, when you pick up, stick the phone near the radio and let them listen to whatever station you fancy, like BBC Radio 2 or something. Hopefully, they’ll get fed up of it and drop off eventually. At least it wastes their time before they put the phone down.

These chaps have taken to ringing me multiple times each day, persistently attempting to get me to change my energy provider. It’s like they don’t quite grasp the word “no.” If you’re able, I suggest you block their number. Alternatively, you could pick up the phone and pop it next to the radio after you answer. Crank up the volume on your favourite station, maybe Talksport or something equally riveting. Hopefully, they’ll tire of the chatter and knock it off after a while. At the very least, you’ll be wasting their time before they finally give up!
