11 yearsThis number keeps calling me non stop!11 yearsI received a rather alarming call earlier today from this number, claiming to be from the technical department of TalkTalk. The caller asserted that my computer had been compromised, and unless I complied with her instructions, my service would be cut off. I expressed my disbelief, having received similar calls earlier this week, and when attempting to return the call, the number was flagged as unrecognised. I firmly stated that I regularly pay my bills and threatened to escalate matters legally if they followed through on disconnecting me. The lady persisted in interrupting me, insisting that if I didn’t heed her warnings, she’d proceed with the disconnection, before abruptly hanging up the line!TalkTalk11 yearsGot a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT, telling me my internet would get cut off. I knew it was dodgy since I've dealt with this kind of scam before. I played along a bit, asking what he actually meant, and then he wanted me to log onto my PC. I told him no way. He kept saying my internet would be disconnected the next day. I refused again, and then he just ended the call.11 yearsGot a call from a woman with a foreign accent pretending to be from TalkTalk this morning. She said my computer was compromised and if I didn't follow her instructions, she'd cut off my service. I told her my bill was all paid up and there was nothing wrong. I also warned her I’d take legal action if they disconnected me without cause. Mentioned I’ve had a bunch of similar calls before, and when I tried calling her number back, it was always unreachable. She just kept threatening to disconnect, then abruptly hung up on me!TalkTalk11 yearsSomeone rang me, claiming to be from BT and oddly enough, said he was calling from Baker Street in London. He went on about my internet being compromised and that he could sort me a new IP address right then and there. I mentioned I would prefer to contact BT directly to confirm, and that's when things got a bit out of hand. He started insisting I do it straight away, practically shouting at me to obey him. When I suggested I’d grab another phone to call BT, he abruptly hung up. Quite suspect, wouldn't you say? Certainly felt like he was attempting to gain access to my computer.BTBaker StreetLondon11 yearsThis bloke rang me up saying my computer was hacked and got really aggressive the minute I asked him some questions.
