Got a call around 6:20 pm from an Asian guy claiming there was a report about me being in an accident! I just ended the call and blocked the number using bts call protect.

They say it’s a call from the US, but since it’s likely made through something like Skype, it could actually be from anywhere. Most of the complaints I’ve seen happened last year anyway. It’s just one of those silent calls that get you wondering.

This was definitely a dodgy call - I never provide any info when I pick up, just say ‘hello’. My number’s ex-directory and I’m on the TPS too. Only my close mates and family know my landline, so they’re the only ones who call me there. They should use my mobile instead!

Got a call really late one night, the line was dead silent when I answered. Probably just some prank, so I just ignored it.

Got called by a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was from an accident support line or something. Couldn’t make out half of what he was saying. He went on about some crash we’d supposedly reported with our car. I asked him straight up where and when this had happened, and he just said sometime in the past two years there’d been a report linked to our number. Complete nonsense if you ask me. Told him I hadn’t reported anything and before I could say more, he just cut the call off. Definitely one of those dodgy scam calls.

Just got a call and all I heard was silence. After reading the other comments, it seems quite risky. The 00125 code is Italian, so it's definitely an international number.

So, this number rang me at about 9:08 in the morning, and all I heard was this weird beep before they just hung up on me. I was half asleep and definitely not ready for that rude shock, felt like a bit of an attack on my ears!

Today I got a call where they asked for me by name, which freaked me out a bit. Then they started asking if I was alright with my credit card details. When I told them I didn’t actually have one, they just ended the call. Felt a bit sus to me.

some bloke called looking for mr something but it’s actually mrs who lives here. our phone is under mr and someone else’s name so when we asked how he got our number, he just said none of our business and then hung up. we tried calling back but just got the ring tone with no answer. we pay to avoid these annoying calls, total nightmare really.
