Got a recorded call that was trying to scare me. They said if I didn’t hit 1 on my keypad to talk to them, my phone line would be disconnected by midnight. That kind of thing would be really upsetting for folks with dementia. These scammers really need to be put to a stop.

Seriously, who’s behind 001246475748? It’s a right worry, especially if an elderly person or someone with dementia answers, or if you genuinely owe HMRC money. They just keep ringing nonstop. Blocking their messages on voicemail is the only way to stop the constant pestering.

As soon as my voicemail kicked in, they just disconnected. Definitely seems like a fake number, not a legit call from Barbados.
