I received a phone call from a number claiming they could halt any forthcoming calls regarding insurance claims if I provided some opinions on my recent accident. I explained that since my claim had been resolved and the other party had taken responsibility, it should have already been concluded. When I probed about how they planned on preventing additional calls, they went a bit quiet but mentioned something about me possibly claiming more compensation! It’s clearly just a sales pitch, no matter how they dress it up!

i got this number about a fortnight ago and the only places ive put it on are the UK student finance government website and squarespace f###]. clearly one of these sites has a security flaw cause ive been getting calls for strangers.

I requested that the lady remove my number from their records and cease all future calls. To my dismay, she informed me that they 'couldn't' wrap up my case until I provided answers to a series of questions regarding an incident I was involved in. I responded, saying, "So, what you're implying is that you'll keep pestering me with calls until I respond to these queries? I insist on speaking to your supervisor." Of course, no manager was on hand (what a surprise!). So, I asked to speak with whoever was overseeing the team in the meantime. Strangely enough, it seemed like there were no competent people around-just a bunch of utter buffoons! When I asked for her name, she thanked me, wished me a pleasant day, and promptly disconnected. Be warned, they pose as if they're asking harmless questions, but really they're just fishing for information for whatever company is paying them!

I recently had a rather frustrating exchange with Nick from First Call regarding a car accident. Can you believe it? I had to explain to him that my identity has been swindled by someone creating a bogus claim, considering I'm a sprightly 75 years old who's never even set foot behind the wheel of a car! He seemed rather sceptical and labelled me as untruthful, yet he still managed to wish me well for the day. Quite baffling, really! It's utterly infuriating. I advise everyone to stay vigilant, folks! xx

Got a call today, the person wanted to speak to Christine. I asked what it was regarding, then they said they were from ‘st call’. Asked again what it was about, and all they said was just to speak to Christine, claiming it was the first call. Christine wasn’t around, asked when she’d be back - said after 6 this evening. Told them I’d ring later. If she ever answers, I’ll tell her to ignore and block any more calls like this. Definitely a scam in my opinion.

It struck me as odd, considering they had no information about me or the incident itself. When I started to push back and ask questions, the caller became quite confrontational. It was at that point, as her tone escalated, that I decided to end the conversation and hang up. Quite the experience, I must say!

I reckon this is a bit of a dodgy scheme. When I inquired for more information, they seemed completely clueless. As soon as I mentioned that I wouldn't divulge any personal info, they quickly cut the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

They kept ringing me up loads of times and when I finally picked up, they wanted to make sure it was me by saying my name. I asked who they were and which company they worked for. On the first call, she replied about that. Apparently, she was checking about a claim from last year. I told her I never had any accident, then she said I’d be taken off their system.

Picked up the phone and was greeted by a woman with a distinctly Birmingham twang, claiming to represent First Contact. She was inquiring about a recent car crash. I sought clarity and requested specifics like the date, where it occurred, and the insurance company involved. All she managed to reveal was that it took place in September. It was clear she didn’t have the right contact information; she seemed keen on speaking with my partner, who has never owned this number, and her responses were incredibly vague. Now, my partner indeed had a car accident some time ago (absolutely not her fault), and it could have been in September-but we’re talking about either 2012 or 2013!

Once more, I've been pestered by an irritating call concerning a car accident that I never experienced!
