Got a call from someone claiming to be BT Openreach, telling me my internet speeds were having issues. They couldn’t even explain what an "IP address" was, which seemed really fishy if they actually knew anything about internet problems. Plus, they must not be aware that BT Openreach isn’t allowed to contact retail customers straight up, which just confirmed it was a scam.

Since 14th April 2017, my work landline has been bombarded with calls, no clue how they ended up with my number! Some bloke named 'Jack' claimed there was a problem with my router and said he was with BT. Sounds like it’s some huge call centre somewhere in India. Total nonsense - the first few times, they didn’t even say anything, but now they’re quite aggressive, almost like harassment. I'm really glad I searched online and saw loads of others saying it’s a scam! They've also called from numbers like 001919-663775, 0012013167123, and 0031696288523.

I received a call from an Asian gentleman named Said, who claimed to be from BT Openreach, discussing some maintenance work. I made it clear that I hadn't given my number to them, requesting that he kindly remove my details from their list. However, he became quite irate and told me to 'get lost.' This number has been persistent, ringing me three times now!

Got a couple of calls from 00124420345 over two days on an ex-directory landline in Ellesmere Port, Wirral. The bloke said he was from 'Openreach'. Told him a thing or two about s#x and travelling before putting the phone down! (01244 is the code for Chester area, by the way).

Got calls repeated from 001912663775, which I reckon is the same company behind 00124420345. They claim to be BT Openreach and have an asian accent everytime. They've rang me 3 times within a few hours now, total harassment! Surely the police need to step in coz TPS and ICO don't seem to do much. I'm on the TPS list and ex-directory, but they keep calling anyway - what's the use?!

I had a rather perplexing phone call today from someone claiming to be from BT Openreach. Their English was quite shaky, and they insisted that my router was emitting strange signals. Oddly enough, this is the second such call I've received today; the first one was from a number that was withheld. I advised both callers to get in touch with my internet service provider, although I deliberately didn’t disclose who that was, since they ought to have that information if they were legitimate.

I received a call today from someone purporting to be from BT Openreach. The chap was rather confrontational, accusing me of being dishonest on multiple occasions. When I requested to chat with his supervisor, he abruptly ended the call. Quite odd, really!

This number keeps ringing me incessantly, even though I've explicitly asked them to remove my details from their dubious database. Each time they contact me, they're peddling a range of dodgy services with an accent that sounds distinctly Asian. Today, they didn’t even bother to pick up the phone. I’ve had enough! Honestly, what’s the point of the Telephone Preference Service or being ex-directory if these nuisances continue unabated? There ought to be severe penalties that would effectively shut down these crooks for good. It’s outrageous! We’re well into 2017, and yet this sort of behaviour is still prevalent!

This number keeps ringing our home phone and it’s so annoying. What’s the use of the TPS or having an unlisted number if these lot still get through? I didn’t pick up today but I have before, and it’s always someone with a strange foreign accent trying to sell something different each time. It smells like a phishing scam to me. Really hope they catch these people and give them a proper punishment so they stop bothering us for good!

Fell for a scam, feeling proper daft about it. Someone pretending to be from BT Openreach called, claiming I’d get £204 back for some router issue. They even gave me an engineer’s name and warned that if I wasn’t home when he arrived, I’d have to pay £60. I mentioned I was a bit wary, and they said they’d find it suspicious too but assured me everything was legit. They passed over some ref numbers and a phone contact for ‘themselves’. Turns out, all a load of rubbish. Really upset that I trusted them - they wiped out my bank balance.

What a scam! I had a woman on the line with a thick Asian accent, purporting to be from BT. She started rattling on about my router being compromised and wanted me to check my download speeds. I decided to mess with her a bit, acted as if I was logging in, all the while placing the phone next to my hifi speakers. I cranked up the Trainspotting soundtrack to blast her ears off! I reckon she won’t be giving me another ring anytime soon.

Someone pretending to be from BT Openreach rang me a few times today about issues with my router. They called me three times this morning from numbers like 001912663775, 00124420345 and 001497843007. They kept telling me to turn on my computer and do what they said step by step. Just a heads up, don’t fall for it - they're trying to scam you and get access to your computer to rip you off big time!

Got calls from 001912663775 two times within a couple of hours, didn’t pick up though. Then 00124420345 gave me a ring. Normally I avoid unknown numbers, but with a recent loss in the family, I thought it might be something serious. We had a short chat, then suddenly the call just dropped.

Dodgy call! They said they were from BT OpenReach but I’d had a call from the same number a fortnight ago while my internet was acting up and nearly got tricked. Reported it to BT but they said there’s not much they can do. This time I mentioned the police were listening and the phone just went straight dead.

This number has been ringing my parents non stop, like about 10 times just this week! When they told the person on the other end that they dont even own a computer or router, the caller insisted that their router is actually sending out distress signals and that they can see the computer. Very weird behaviour.

Got a call from someone pretending to be BT Openreach saying there was a problem with my broadband. The number looked dodgy, and I reckon it was spoofed. If you’re unsure, just ring BT yourself or look up BT[###] to see if you actually have any issues listed. Never share your personal info on the phone with these types! Sounds like a scammer from India or Pakistan trying to trick you.

I've received a call on my home phone from this number. The person on the other end had quite a thick accent and was trying to tell me they were representing BT. However, I don’t have any services with them whatsoever. After I remained silent for nearly a minute, they ended the call themselves. Strange, isn’t it?

A person said they were from Openreach and kept saying I didn’t need to pay any money. When I pointed out they said dollars, not pounds, they got pretty annoyed. It was quite amusing when they started yelling at me over the phone. Then I put on Wonderwall and they hung up straight away - guess they don’t have much taste in tunes!

Got a call from this number earlier today, someone pretending to be from BT saying my router was faulty. I immediately called them out as a fraud and ended the call. Later, when I got back after going out, I noticed a missed call from the same number. Then just a bit ago, they rang again. That’s three calls in just a few hours! It's really worrying - imagine if they’re targeting older folks or people who might be more easily fooled! They seriously need to be blocked.
